Ebooks drive me nutts!

Is it just me or do the abundance of the get rich quick schemes drive you bananas? I mean come on, do they really expect people to shell out 19$ or even the great 4.95$ for the "you too can be a millionaire" ebooks I've seen recently.

Sadly a great number of people do fork over the cash, and get ripped off in doing so. For those of you that haven't spent your hard earned money on these get rich quick schemes, they are mostly endless circles of sign up and referral processes designed to make the original creator all the money. For a mere 19$ or whatever price they've decided on, the seller of said ebook will sell you the templates and some broken English text page on how to set up your very own website to sell people what you just paid for!

That in a nutshell is the get rich quick money scheme for many of the ebooks currently floating around in the depths of cyberspace. Now I'm sure some of you reading this are going hey thats not a bad idea - and you're half right. It isn't a bad idea if you want to have a horde of angry upset and downright pissed of people coming back to find you when they don't have 2 million in their bank accounts within the first 20 days of the program.

So if you are planning on creating this type of revenue program do it with some research, you might find out that you could simply create it from scratch and save yourself the $19. Its just as easy to go out and get yourself an 8.95$ domain from GoDaddy.com and find a nice cheap webhost like NLHosts.com and BLAM! now you're cooking with some serious bacon my friends.

Fire up the preinstalled version of whatever EZ website maker they're offering, type in a few sentences about how you play with tigers on the weekend in your fancy yaht in the south of spain, fill in some paypal buttons, post and away you go to rake some some money. Seriously - its ALMOST that easy.

What they don't tell you is that you have to actually work at it. You'll need to spend a few hours a day at least building up links to your new site, and creating some buzz. Now don't get all excited here - I'm not talking about raiding the fridge for you're latest conquering of the Heineken Keg Can. What I am talking about is setting up good solid social networking connections.

I don't care how good you are at mass marketing and / or super hero diatribes on youtube. Build yourself a good solid network of other website owners and pass around some traffic that way and you'll be seeing a rapid methodical growth of you're website traffic.

Ok, so with that being said - STOP buying the get rich quick ebooks. Use some good common sense and a little elbow grease and you can earn a decent add on income from the internet. Notice i said ADD ON. Don't go quit your day job just yet there bucko!

While there are certainly people out there that make 100,000 a month from internet sites, you will probably NOT be one of them within the next 3 - 6 months. Keep your day job and work a few extra hours a day with your new website to cultivate it and grow you're new lover; it will reward you eventually.
