Ipod Touch – web thoughts

So i got my grubby little hands on an iPod touch yesterday afternoon and thought I'd sit down and play with it for a few minutes. That few minutes turned into more like an hour or so. The thing is addictive to say the least.

The new device, shipping later this month — retail price, $299 for the 8GB model, $399 for the 16GB version — might seem like nothing more than a newer iPod with a slick touch screen akin to the iPhone.

Ipod's in general are very nice to have handy. On one hand they offer a great way to bring your music along for the ride. On the other hand a lot of us use them for more hardier tasks such as file transports or boot drive carries etc.

The new wifi enabled iPod touch is the best feature that could have possibly been added in my opinion. Not only can you listen to your music as your riding the T to work, or sitting in your local coffee shop; you can now surf the web.

Needless to say this adds a whole dimension to the iPod. For me its nice to be able to bring a small portable device wherever i am and have an option to get on the web and keep up to date with things. Not only that, now you can watch porn on a 3 inch screen. I mean come on people its the pinnacle of mankind here.

I jest, but seriously try it sometime you'll amuse yourself (pun intended). So my thoughts to you - sell your old iPod if you can, check Ebay.com for the latest prices - and go get yourself a nice new shiny iPod touch.
