How much is your blog worth?

I’m taking a break from surfing for a moment to give some love to a link that I just found this morning that I’m fairly impressed with. Text-link-ads.com has been around for awhile now and if you’ve never heard of them they basically pay you money for certain words on your website that get turned into links to various advertisers etc. Nothing really new there, but what I did find helpful was the Link Calculator which gives an approximate value for links in specific areas of your website.

I’m assuming they are basing the calculations on a number of variables such as page rank, traffic data, Alexa, etc. While this is not a specific science mind you, it is certainly a valuable tool to use for your website.

Go check it out, and for fun throw in some competing websites to see what they might be charging so that you can get a good idea of what you should charge / expect to make from ads.
