Halo 3 Makes Crack Addicts Cry

halo 3 Halo 3 is ridiculously good, period. With all the hype marketing surrounding the launch of this game I was skeptical it could live up to the promotions and lofty goals that analysts were spouting left, right, andcenter. Halo 3 not only lived up to it, it surpassed what many thought.

The single player campaign consists of a fairly long game play arc. The levels are well thought out for the most part, with a few exceptions. Starting from the beginning level all the way through the final levels, Master Chief is thrown into the battle non stop. The story line is a bit hard to follow unless you are a Halo fan and have played the first two installments of the game however.

If you are new to the Halo series, you should find an online guide like the one at Rampancy.

Once you get through most of the levels you will be engaged in the storyline and want to keep playing until the somewhat anti climatic finish in my opinion. Here is where I think Bungie didn't make a definitive choice with the fate of Master Chief. I won't ruin the end of the game for anyone who hasn't played it yet, but there are certainly some questions with the way the ending is handled.

The multi player experience on the other hand is absolutely fantastic. It looks and feels like the old Halo multiplayer, with the updated graphics, maps, and the Halo 3 engine. The new maps are for the most part extremely well laid out and even. There are two exceptions to this, two maps that really screw me up anytime I play them. The maps "Construct" and "Narrows" are to me a bit non friendly for multi player action - however they force gamers to rework strategies and team options for team slayer games.

There will be a new Halo 3 section on here somewhere, since I'm well on my way to creating a large addiction to the game. Your thoughts on the game so far?

I think the older you get the less you want to play games with story.

I played FRP games all the time, but now I really don’t have the time. It seems like I’m more in racing games now :)
