An Apocalyptic Free World Implosion?

worldAn apocalyptic free world implosion you say – did that excite you? Well it certainly did me this morning when I read that Chris Anderson (the editor in chief of Wired) was interviewed by 123-reg blog about his influence in the world and being named to Time 100′s list of powerful people.

If you didn’t know, Chris Anderson has done a bunch of stuff with his life, but most SEO blogs equate him to the founding of the term “Long Tail”. Long Tail is the idea that everything is moving away from broad terminology and directly and succinctly towards very specific niche sectors. This has been the buzz craze of every SEO blog and marketer for the last few years and most likely will only increase in popularity as more and more users come to understand the term.

The interview goes into detail about Long Tail misconceptions, but most importantly Chris talks about the “Free” models that are currently out there, and the ever sprawling social network spawning niches left and right. Do yourself a favor and take five minutes to go check out the article, its definitely worth a read through. At the very least, Chris has some interesting ideas on the “Free” model world.
