Google Adsense Down for Repairs

Google decided to take the afternoon off today. Adwords and Adsense were down for maintenance this afternoon for several hours, all of which was scheduled of course, but still a pain in the ass. This is a good time to restate a great tip that I’ve heard many of the top bloggers say over the last few years and that is to not check your stats every ten minutes.

If you’re like me, you probably check those stats every couple of minutes for the update elation of seeing money earned or the deflated poor feeling of seeing the big zero. Either way you’re wasting productive time you could be using to further enhance your blog. So stop crying that you can’t see how much money you’re loosing or making right now and get out there and blog something interesting for the rest of us to read while we wait for Adsense to come back up so we can check out stats damn it!
