Google To Be A Paid Review Service?

Unless you’ve been living on the moon recently you’ve no doubt heard about the Google squabble with Payperpost and other pay for review sites. Basically Google says that they are going to downgrade links that are paid postings as they are not as “valuable” and “trustworthy” according to the master plan set forth by Google.

Lately there have been rumblings that Google itself, now that it has essentially wiped the floor with the paid posting services is to become that entity itself. Shoemoney has a post up on his site that goes into some more detail and I’m sure he’s got some more insider information then most as he’s networked with everyone and their moms.

Is Google the next Payperpost? I’m not sure its a bad thing really. I’m not necessarily looking for Google to become all powerful (aren’t they already?), but it might be nice to have Adsense and a pay for review site all in one. Your thoughts?
