Payperpost Test – Is it worth it?

In a test to see if Payperpost is worth the money you make from posts versus the ensuing Google slap to your page rank I decided that I would test out some posts from Payperpost and see what happened on this blog. One of the main reasons that I decided to do a test with Payperpost is due to its fairly lucrative pay outs for postings. The other reason to take opportunities provided by a service like Payperpost is to drive traffic a little more from search engines on relevant products and topics.
Well the test is now over, and the results are quite stunning. The test quite clearly proved that Google hates just about everyone that utilizes Payperpost, even if you don’t say you’re using a service like that. Google just assumes it based on the post content and links. Which really means that if you are unlucky enough to post about something that Payperpost has paid money to other bloggers for, you’ll probably get penalized by the almighty Google for it since it thinks you are obviously being paid to review it.
Personally this test has proven that Google can and will enforce whatever actions it wants on whomever it chooses without any warning or description of why. This blog’s page rank went from a 4 to a whopping 0 in under two months, and without a global Google page rank update. This tells me that Google has in place programs that will slap you back to the stone age if they think you are utilizing a paid review service.
On another note, I was quite pleased with Payperpost in the fact that they offer good money to review some actually pretty interesting topics and sites. I found more then one site that I ACTUALLY use now on a daily basis and I got paid to review it, whats better then that? The only catch 22 that happens with Payperpost is that the opportunities you’re able to write about are available based on Google page rank mostly. So you might be able to make a short run of things and gain some extra money, but in the long run you’ll be back to square one and page rank of 0.
So there it is. The test is concluded and I will go back to writing about things I find interesting and Google can decide whatever it wants to about page rank I suppose. Hopefully in the future everything won’t be dictated by Google page rank. Most of us bloggers are out here trying to provide some decent content for people to get at, and make a little money on the side for our families. The Google overlords apparently want a feudal system from the dark ages and subservient pages that pay tribute to their liege lords. Oh well. A peasant I will be.
Go check out Payperpost for yourself and decide whether or not you’d like to use it for your site.
