Good Marketers Know When To Meet

Posted by admin

online meetingAll good marketing appeals to a large audience of people. Obviously marketing is targeted to specific sections of people, but the ability to offer some sort of marketing material that will appeal broadly across that target region of people is the end goal for any good marketeer. One of the best ways to come up with a good marketing plan is to conference with your clients regularly to make sure you are on the same page.

A great tool to use for conferencing is meeting scheduling software. The ability to get everyone together, especially if you’re from multiple locations on the globe is an essential part of a good marketing strategy. Emails can only do so much. To get the right inflection and get your points across to clients in short amounts of time consider using an online meeting software to reduce down time and wasted efforts. Asset Tracking Software needs to be used in order to maintain a healthy work flow.

Having a good work flow is essential to maintaining a good connection with your clients as well as creating a good working environment for yourself. The last thing you want to do is add more work for yourself simply because you’re not utilizing the most effective systems possible that are at your disposal.

Economy Blowage

Posted by admin

gas pricesThis struck me as downright annoying as I was driving home last night. Most days I go to work (i still maintain a day job, at least until i make 30 grand a year off a blog - SIGH) and sit at my desk doing whatever tasks I might have on the agenda for that given day, then like a trained monkey the end of day comes and I drive home completely unconscious of the world around me.

I’m a typical cubicle worker, I have no windows and have an office that is no more then 5 foot by 5 foot in total space. You math geniuses out there can do the math and whip up the square feet on that bad boy! So while I sit and toil for the man all day, I rarely get to see the outside world. This works to my favor on some days, like rainy days as I’d rather not stair at a dismal gray down pouring of rain anyway. However, it completely sucks when its 75 degrees and sunny outside, with little blue birds sounding the coming of the spring and summer seasons. It would be at least nice to get a ray of sunshine to my face once a day.

With that being said, once I’m out of work at the end of the day the last thing I do is actually pay attention to anything I’m doing on the drive home. Usually I completely zone out and just drive on auto pilot until I get home. This nice little zone out time was completely trashed yesterday when I needed to get gas because I was a complete dumb ass and didn’t get it the day before, because at 3.29 a gallon I was too cheap.

Well F me hard the next day when low and behold the gas is now at 3.37 a gallon! Not only was my zone out time completely smashed, my sense of well being and positive outlook on my finances were now completely obliterated, and any hope of getting a retardedly yummy hot dog from the silver mini van stand at the corner were destroyed.

$50 later my tank was full and I was poor. Yah, you read that right, $50 for a tank of gas (15 gallons). I pin my lack of tasty hot dogs squarely on the greedy money grubbing oil companies who have posted record incomes the last few years, and on a public that is entirely too dependent on a substance that is controlled by a select few. Of course our government is going to do a damn thing about it since they all have ties to the oil industry. Now this really only applies to readers in the states, as people from abroad seem to have a much more stable relationship with gas prices and the ability to work without it.

Ok I’m done ranting for now. Off to find some cheaper replacement for yummy silver mini van hot dogs.

Design Meets Marketing

web designPosted - 4.10.08

In my travels around the web I’m always on the lookout for sites that just work. And by just work i mean completely blow the doors off my mind in their style, function, or down right coolness. Most of the time I come across the same old boring crap, that people just regurgetate and make sound a little different. Of course that happens a ton in any of the online make money niches that I read so often. Every so often I find a site that bucks the trend and makes style work with function to produce a site that is both eye pleasing as well as mentally stimulating.

Stylishdesign.com is a web design blog about web design obviously, but it also has branches of marketing, online structures and other interesting topics that bloggers and webmasters will enjoy. Some of the best postings on the site have to do with search engine optimization and styling of your blog. They go into a lot of detail on apache and coding for specific items which is really helpful. If you’re searching for some good lunch time reading while your at work doing nothing at your desk, this is a great site to take time and really delve into its depths.

I give the guys over at Stylishdesign.com some serious thumbs up - and super kudos to the rediculously clean layout they’ve got going on to. I’d vote for them in a style contest right now, but I can’t seem to find a style contest to vote them into - sigh.

Text Links Still Work

Posted by admin

text link adsWith all the focus on paid text links being the worst thing you could ever do, I tend to buck the trend and say its not the worst thing you can do, you just need to be careful with it. Going out and buying a thousand links in the span of a day probably isn’t the smartest idea in the world, but a few well placed links can do you a lot of good. Now you’re most likely sitting there thinking to yourself how to go about buying links on pages, well lucky for you there are a lot of different programs around that will help you out with that endeavor.

One of the newer programs that I’ve seen working wonders lately is TNX.net. They aren’t quite as large as some of the other more established link companies out there, but that doesn’t mean that they aren’t one of the best programs going. Their growth rate over the last year has been huge, and I’ve heard many webmasters saying that they were quite happy with the results and options available from TNX.net. With TNX.net you can insert a piece of code in your page and when someone purchases a link it will automatically update on your page. No need to manually go back and edit your every page. Another great feature for webmasters is that you can manually choose the advertisers that you’d like to advertise on your page. This eliminates random advertisements that have nothing to do with the content of your particular niche.

On the other side of the coin of course is being able to advertise your own website and market yourself across the entire TNX.net network. Advertisers can select the number of links, and the PR of the page that the link shows up on. This is a huge advantage in marketing as placing highly targeted links on pages with high page rank is always a bonus. Setup is simple and only takes a few steps. Its definitely worth trying out if you aren’t having too much luck with advertising on Google Adwords, or Yahoo. There are a lot of different views you can check out over ad Digital Point as well to get some free advertising.

TNX.net is one of the fastest growing text link programs around. Its worth checking out even just to place one or two links.
