Wholesale Resale For Profit

Whats better then making money in a recession - the answer, nothing. With the economy taking a nose dive and venturing into the unknown abyss of Geo political power shifting there is one thing that will always remain constant the world over, and that is money. Whether its up or down, its always there. You might be counting it in dollars, euros, rubles, or even yen, but every good entrepreneur is always looking for that next easy sale that will make you some extra cash.

One of the best ways to go about doing that in the market right now is to find sweet wholesale deals and split them up for resale. Its like Christmas for everyone involved really. The trick is to find a good deal just like any other affiliate offer out there, but with this your a little bit more in control.

Take for example usb thumb drives. Lets say you find a nice wholesale deal out on the interwebs and you manage to scoop up 20 one gig thumb drives for $100. That averages out to $5 a drive, not that great of a deal but for the sake of easy math lets stick with those numbers.

The goal is to sell the drives individually for more then what you just paid for them. Simple enough right. There is all sorts of ways to sell these off cheap, but the main two that come to mind are craigslist or eBay. You can also hold a raffle, or sweepstakes on your website for a weekly prize drawing if you feel like giving some away as free traffic generating tools.

However you sell them the principle is simple - buy a wholesale lot of an item, then split it into individual sales that are a decent percentage profit above what you bought them for. If I sold the 20 thumb drives for $10 a piece that would make me $200, which turns out a nice $100 profit from what i spent on them in the first place.

Here are some wholesale lots right now on eBay that I'm currently watching as they piqued my interest. You are more then welcome to bid on them as well, but always be sure to search out the best deals and stay active.

Bad Economy Equals Death Knell For Affiliate Marketing

Does the downturn in the economy make you nervous? Are you still profiting like a greedy little monkey? Well if you are good for you, enjoy it while it lasts. However if the economy decides it wants to stay in the stagnant end of the pool you should be prepared to make the necessary adjustments to your affiliate marketing campaigns and practices.

One of the biggest changes is budgeting for a tighter run. When your money isn't worth as much and you've got less to work with you need to find a more creative and productive solution to facilitate growth. One of the best ways to do this is to scale back on the campaigns that aren't profitable and would require more testing to get them into the scoring position. Cutting losses before they become sinking ships of death is a wise move in any situation, but especially savvy in a recessive economy.

Another option is to pander to an angry consumer's need to find the best deal for their shrinking money pile. A slow economy or resession will drive buyers to look a bit harder for the extra special deal that will save them a few cents or dollars. Start trying out some campaigns that have a little lower profit margin for you, but that represent a great deal for the end consumer.

Keeping your whits about you and your mind focused on the long term will get you through a struggling economy and come out on the other side of a recession in a fairly decent position to continue profiting.

Are You Making Money?

So I've been dabbling in the fine art of affiliate marketing and PPC (pay per click) traffic fun, but I've definitely been having a hard time getting to that magic day where I'm making a decent profit consistently. I"m not sure how all the big wigs are doing it - obviously I'm missing something. I've found a good source and started promoting it, but my conversion rate is crap.

Have you had any success in the affiliate marketing ring? Do you know what it takes to make $50 to $100 a day profit? If so I kindly open up the comments below on this post to share a few tips with fellow readers and people wanting to learn some basic techniques for affiliate marketing, and how to make money.
