Web Hosting Help

I have been in search of new web hosting for quite some time now, and have been taking my time in researching the multitude of various offerings out there. A few years ago it was easy to shop for hosting providers, as there were only a handful of really decent companies. How things have changed in recent years. Now its a hodge podge of random "providers" that may or may not be who they say they are, or offer good quality hosting and up time.
Hosting services are a nightmare to try and weed through on your own. The easiest and best solution is to find a good hosting review site that has already put the hosting companies through a rigorous questioning and shakedown period. One site that I've been utilizing in my search for hosting is webhostinggeeks.com. They have a fantastic site that simplifies a lot of my searching and provides me with quick easy access to relevant information, as well as detailed information on sign up bonuses and freebies as well.
Their top ten list is a who's who of providers for any given year and has reviews and terms listed in a nice concise format. The best value though is when you start to drill down to some of the underlying content that they offer. For those of us concerned with the imminent melt down of the planet, they offer a green hosting section that is just awesome. Save yourself a few dollars, and the planet at the same time. Can't go wrong here!
Be sure to really read through the review sections of the particular hosting provider you might be considering, I saved myself a huge headache when I found a certain provider claimed to be able to run a specific script, when in fact they had denied several other users this ability.
Best of all if you've had a good or bad run in with a hosting company previously you can rate them and write your own review to help other users of the community in the future. Bottom line is this; if you are looking for new web hosting then you need to visit webhostinggeeks.com.
